Turquoise has long been the stone people reach for when they want to feel held and clear-headed at once — in tradition it is linked to the throat, and kept for a sense of protection and calm rather than anything it promises to do for you.

Is this for me?

For anyone drawn to it — no ritual or prior belief is required. Wear it as meaning, or simply as a piece you love.

Why this one is different
What's often sold
  • Bright, uniform sky-blue beads with no veining, often dyed howlite or reconstituted powder
  • Sold as solid turquoise with no mention of stabilising or dye
  • Glassy, lightweight beads that feel warm and plasticky in the hand
The Kavach piece
  • Natural firoza with real colour variation and brown-to-black matrix veining bead to bead
  • Described plainly for what it is, with nothing claimed beyond tradition and belief
  • Stone-cool to the touch with honest weight, knotted on a fitted stretch cord
How to tell real turquoise (firoza)

Turquoise is widely imitated and often dyed, so a few honest checks help. Together they tell you a great deal, and we back the stone with our Certificate of Authenticity — our written assurance it is genuine.

Look for natural matrix and uneven colour

Real turquoise rarely looks perfectly even. Expect the colour to shift between beads and to carry a web of brown, grey or black matrix — the host rock it grew in. Flawless, identical, candy-blue beads are usually dyed howlite or reconstituted powder.

Questions, answered

No. Because this is natural firoza, the blue tone and the brown or black matrix veining vary from bead to bead and bracelet to bracelet. Yours will be similar in spirit to the photos but unique in its exact markings — that variation is a sign the stone is real, not a flaw.

Natural turquoise is porous and softer than many stones, so much of what is sold is stabilised to harden it for everyday wear. We describe each batch honestly. If a piece is stabilised we say so, and we never pass off dyed howlite or reconstituted stone as natural firoza.

Turquoise dislikes water, perfume, sweat and household chemicals, which can dull its surface over time. Put the bracelet on after applying scent or lotion, take it off before bathing or swimming, and wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Stored away from harder stones, it keeps its colour well.
